New to the Community Hub 💜

Every month I will be running an on line zoom writers poetry group. This will be open to anyone anywhere. Writing about how you feel can help a lot. If you would like to join in with this, please let me know 😊

Time for you 💜

to my new Community Hub 😊 A page that enables me to introduce you to some local people and businesses who, as part of the loveliness they have to offer, all promote positive wellbeing and mental health.

Thinking outside the box is something I believe in a lot! It enables us to consider things we may not have considered before, allows us to see what we might not normally get chance to see, and it gives us freedom and space to have a go, to try something we might not otherwise get chance to do.

It helped me a lot in my own PTSD recovery - from scuba diving to burlesque lessons (!). It’s also one of the reasons why I am passionate about being able to offer sponsored and/or special discounted Stretch & Roll  sessions for my class ladies, because it’s about creating a sense of community.

For anyone who has suffered from anxiety, trauma, low self-confidence, mobility issues, it can feel very isolating. I’d like to turn that around and show that there are some great people and organisations and businesses and things to do outside of the box that can help us with whatever we might be going through.

And that’s why I am delighted to welcome Moorparks Holiday Cottages in North Devon to my Community Hub ☂️

*There is a Moorparks discount rate available for all of my regular class ladies... please ask me for the Special Code*

Being outdoors, in the fresh air, is good for us. Sea air, countryside, peace and quiet, and lots of relaxing! But also giving us the option to go walking and/or explore the lovely beaches that North Devon has to offer and, if we are feeling braver (!), to go and visit some of the amazing attractions that are nearby.

Erik and Michele’s holiday cottages are located within 12 acres of Devon countryside. On a clear day, from ‘The Cottage’ decking, you will be able to see the Hills of Exmoor and, if the hedges are cut, Dartmoor to the front.

There are two 2-bedroom cottages catering for up to 4 people in each, both lovingly refurbished, with a fully equipped kitchen, log burner, private gardens with garden furniture and outside eating areas, so you can choose if you’d like to dine inside or outside under the stars/in the sun! With fresh eggs courtesy of the Moorparks resident chickens!

Moorparks have some adorable animals... from the Alpacas, to the Greyface Dartmoor sheep, to the Swiss Valais ewes (also known as “the cutest sheep in the World”).*

*Lambing seasons are in March/April and October/November.

And their newest additions are their gorgeous Indian runner ducks who have taken up residence in their new home ‘Waddle on Inn’!

There is plenty of opportunity to help with the animals at feeding time and at collection times for collecting some of your own eggs.
