Good Ladies class tonight...

So tonight Megan was introduced to some more basic foundation Jiu Jitsu drills... it's important to know that if we find ourselves put down on the ground, that we can adjust/adapt to the situation,  try and get back up onto our feet, learn how to move on the ground 💜 My BJJ instructor always tells me - it's about making the uncomfortable comfortable... so when we think of the ground, we want it to feel as much like 'home' as possible: that way, if we ever find ourselves down there, say in an attack situation, and our brain/head is caught in that flight/fight zone, we have already given ourselves some of the space we need to be able to start defending/protecting. We want our brain to go "Oh ok, so yes, I recognise this place, the ground.. I've been here before and I know what it feels like and I know that I can move, I can adjust, I can work to try and get myself back up again". It won't always be easy... but the more chances we can give ourselves of being able to think/react like that, the better x
